It is not only very important that every house and business display their 911 address visible to the street, it is also required by Ordinance #192-2009 (click on ordinance below). That importance became very evident during the storm on 3/25/23. With so many trees down and power outages, emergency crews had difficulty calling in locations to the 911 center and power company because there are many houses that do not have a 911 address posted. It is also advisable to provide a contact number to the township office in case of an emergency, especially if this is a secondary home. Since many people no longer have a landline, it is more difficult to obtain contact information. So please post your house with the correct 911 address and contact the township office at 814-382-8579 with an emergency contact number.
